The sun was very low and bright when BR Standard Class 9F 2-10-0 92214 CITY OF LEICESTER approached Loughborough on Thursday 29th December 2022 with the first round trip of the day. Unexpectedly the driver still had steam ‘on’ which effectively obscured the new houses.
