The 14:00 up train from Loughborough to Leicester North was about to pass under bridge GCR No.338 that carries the old road to Woodthorpe village over the Great Central main line. The roof profiles of the leading and trailing Metropolitan Cammell power cars presented an interesting contrast to the Pressed Steel suburban centre trailer. The vehicles were DMCL E50266, TCL W59506 and DMBS M50203 respectively front to back.
