While I was standing by the boundary fence at Toddington Station waiting for the eventual departure of the 15:05 DMU to Winchcombe I heard the unmistakeable sound of an early petrol engine car approaching. This delightful completely original Triumph Renown reversed into a parking bay next to where I was standing. I learned from the owner that it was the car’s 71st birthday, it had been owned by the same family all that time and it was out for a birthday run. During our conversation I discovered that it will be visiting the GCR for a club event on Sunday 10th July 2022. I promised to try to meet again.
