This is the second shot I intended to take! The first would have been of 6989 leaving Shackerstone at this location with the 09:00 to Shenton. The driver on 6989 made a superb controlled start, cylinder drains closed promptly and no trace of a slip. I watched almost spell-bound and then forgot to switch the camera back on! Idiot! 4575 Class 2-6-2T 5526 working the 09:15 was not so well handled; several times the cocks were opened, a few slips had to be controlled and overall the performance was not so smooth. The hulk to the left was previously D14, then 45 015, and may now be beyond hope for restoration. Please prove me wrong.
