On Saturday 23rd November 2019 the return working of the 10:50 ex-Loughborough "Santa Special" almost took us by surprise. Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 48305 was seen passing the signal controlling the exit from the down refuge siding at Quorn and Woodhouse.
