At last the camera angle allowed us to see clearly that Thompson B1 Class 4-6-0 61306 was carrying the MAYFLOWER nameplates. It has done so regularly in preservation since 61379 MAYFLOWER had been withdrawn in 1962. 61379 had been named to commemorate the departure of The Pilgrim Fathers.
