This was probably the biggest trip of the year and one that I had originally not planned to do. I have not been happy with the performance and reliability of FLYING SCOTSMAN in 2021 and intended to stay local on this occasion. However when I was reminded that I had offered to help Paul with a lift back to Sheffield then I changed my mind and re-jigged the plans. Also I had forgotten about "Staycation Express" and did not know there was a "Northern Belle" with TORNADO.
