The morning of Sunday 28th November 2021 was bright and sunny with a strong northerly wind and a light frost. It was too bright for photography and I though it most likely that the only steam locomotive would be facing north. To check, I arrived at Loughborough Central in time to confirm that the locomotive was indeed facing north but the Ivatt Class 2MT of the previous day had been replaced with Stanier Class 8F 48305. As the sun shines straight along the line from the A6 bridge to Buddon Wood I decided to head for Fielding Road, Birstall. Please look at the captions to see how the day progressed.
