Sunday 20th September 2020 was the second day that the GCR had offered a public steam hauled service since bridge GCR No.341 had been replaced. It was also the second day that a public dining car express was available. The timetabling was complex and unfortunately it was kept only in broad principle. In particular, pay no attention to the times given for ECS workings which were all most unrealistic. Otherwise it was an enjoyable day out, but such a shame that the Stanier Class 8F was rostered when it is the only large engine that faces north.
